Spa-Francorchamps made a welcome return to the Formula One Grand Prix calendar in 2007 with a revised start/finish line and a wider track at La Source hairpin. Spa's first bend still represents a leap of faith with a clean exit into the descent to Eau Rouge bringing a sigh of relief. Like the Monaco Grand Prix, pole position here has added benefits. After the spine-tingling start the Spa circuit rises and falls in spectacular fashion through the forests of the Ardennes, making it unique on the F1 calendar. Drivers love the challenge the Belian Grand Prix represents, and spectators love to watch from Spa's legendary bends and vantage points amongst the trees. A weekend in Belgium is a delightful experience. Not only is the scenery magnificent but Belgium has some of the best restaurants in Europe. Our Belgian Grand Prix tours give you the flexibility to fly in from a regional airport, arrive in Brussels by Eurostar from central London or to take your own car and enjoy some of the delightful towns and villages around the Spa-Francorchamps GP circuit. The 2008 Begian Grand Prix was extraordinary even for Spa. In mixed conditions race strategy played a big role. In the end, Hamilton showed his true worth only to be controversially robbed of Formula One victory afterwards and relegated to third behind Massa and Heidfeld. |
