U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix

Killington Resort will host more than 100 of the world's best snowboarders, including Olympians and World Champions battling for more than $130,000 in cash and prizes, at the finals of the U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix at Bear Mountain March 14-15, 2009. The event will be broadcast on NBC March 21st at 2:00 p.m. EST.

The U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix offers one of the largest overall purses in snowboarding, with prizes totaling more than $300,000. In addition, the Killington Grand Prix event is a FIS Continental Cup that will attract riders from all over the world. Killington's 430-foot long Superpipe, featuring 22-foot walls, will host the Halfpipe competition on Saturday, March 14. The Paul Mitchell Progression Session Slopestyle will take place on Sunday, March 15 on Bear Mountain's Bear Claw Trail on a course built by Eric Rosenwald, known for his meticulous designs and progressive style..

All events are free to the public for viewing and the finish area for both events is an easy hike from the lodge. Lift tickets will be available at regular rates for those wishing to ski or ride over the weekend.
