Stefano Coletti will remain in GP2 for a fourth season after switching to Racing Engineering for 2014.
The Monegasque driver won three races in 2013 and led the championship for the majority of the campaign, but endured a torrid second half of the season during which he failed to score a point and tumbled to fifth in the standings.
Coletti, who switches from Rapax after being beaten to the title by Racing Engineering's Fabio Leimer, will partner Ferrari protege and European Formula 3 champion Raffaele Marciello.
"I am really happy and looking forward to working with Racing Engineering this year," he said. "During recent years, they have proven to be a very serious and competitive team. I hope this year will bring us a lot of success."
Team president Alfonso de Orleans-Borbon believes mixing an experienced GP2 racer with a category rookie will serve the team well.
"What we saw [in Coletti] was a very fast and determined driver, who knows how to fight on track and take race wins," he said.
"With Stefano and Lello we have a driver pairing one can only dream of and we are all really looking forward to the start of the season."
