Silverstone, England (AHN) - Surprise, surprise.
Sebastian Vettel, not Jenson Button, won Sunday's British Grand Prix race at Silverstone circuit.
Button, who has won every F1 race this season but two, finished a season-low sixth, while Vettel held off Red Bull teammate Mark Webber to score his second win of the season.
Vettel, who started from the pole Sunday and finished 15.1 seconds ahead of Webber, and Button - six wins this season -- are the only two drivers to have won on the F1 circuit this season.
The Red Bull teammates finished 1-2, just like in China earlier this year, while Brawn GP's Rubens Barrichello ran third. Barrichello's teammate, Button, still leads the points standings by 23 points.
It was Button's first non-podium finish of the season and he now has 64 points to Barrichello's 41 and Vettel's 39 with nine races left this season.
Felipe Massa finished a season-best fourth, just ahead of Nico Rosberg, while defending series champion and British hero Lewis Hamilton ran a disappointing 16th.
